BKOM Studios Announces New Druid Class at PAX South for Tales From Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation

BKOM Studios has announced the Druid class for Tales From Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation.

Tales From Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation is a Dungeons and Dragons-style board game that was brought to the PC in October 2017. The single-player turn-based strategy game requires players to move through a map covered in a fog of war. Through exploration, one can encounter enemies and progress in the game.

On the deadly peninsula of Chult, an adventuring party must fight their way through dangerous jungles, labyrinths and dungeons to find and reverse the cause of the death curse. Choose to play as one or more of the four adventurers (Artus Cimber, Asharra, Birdsong, and Dragonbait) to face many perilous challenges and deadly foes throughout the quest. While uncovering the secrets behind the mystery of the Death Curse, players need to craft powerful weapons, armor, and accessories to survive the encounters separating them from glory.

At PAX South 2018, BKOM Studios showcased the new character class, the Druid. “Qawasha is a member of the Emerald Enclave base in Fort Beluarian. The druid travels with a vegepymgy companion named Kupalu√©. Qawasha hopes to rid the jungle of the undead menace that haunts the area,” said BKOM Studios in a post to the game’s Steam Community Hub.

Some of the strengths of the game are that it is easy to pick up for those who are unfamiliar with turn-based strategy games. In the latest update to the game, dice rolls have been added, allowing those familiar with classic Dungeons & Dragons style-play to immerse themselves into the action. The dice rolls can be toggled on and off, set to be done automatically or manually, and all players can use the standard die. Custom dice skins are also available as DLC. The multiplayer mode is currently in development.

The game is available now on Steam.
